JOB DUTIES: Participate in the development of next generation of OCTEON Fusion, multi-core wireless processors. Implement wireless algorithms used in wireless functional verification environment to test different components of wireless processors. Provide wireless test suites to ensure compliance to wireless industry standards. Develop and code the architecture for a functional verification environment to test embedded network processor products, including the development reference models, bus functional monitors and drivers. Use System Verilog programming language within the framework of the UVM paradigm. Create and write a verification test plan using random techniques and coverage analysis, and work with Designers to ensure it is complete. Build a constrained random environment for various functional blocks as well as for full chip testing. Develop tests and tune the environment to achieve the coverage goals and debug failures and work with the Logic Designers to resolve the issues. Provide technical guidance and mentor Jr. Engineer s team.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Experience must include five (5) years in each of the following:
1. Functional testing of RTL blocks, object-oriented programming schemes using SystemVerilog;
2. Understanding of Verilog coding language to debug design issues;
3. Programming using scripting languages: Perl or Python;
4. Working in an UNIX development environment;
5. Test-bench development using either UVM or OVM paradigm;
6. Verification experience using a constraint based random environment;
7. Debugging RTL using waveform viewers; functional coverage coding and analysis; and
8. Programming using C/C++.
