Job Description:


The Document Controller is responsible for controlling the company’s drawings/documents/ records in accordance with company and customer requirements as noted in the Quality Management System.

•Ability to read drawings and assembly routers, procedures and reports
•Perform all essential Document Control Center functions
•Sort, deliver or pick up printed matter for distribution.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
•Establish and/or maintain alphabetical or numerical filing system.
•Ability to ensure that commitments to both internal and external customers are met by following up on requests.
•Able to communicate issues clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to function in a team environment by establishing cooperative working relationships with peers and co-workers.
•Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of tis position.

Notify appropriate personnel of the revisions, cancellations of the specs etc.

Issue engineering docs to customers through the engineering doc. system.

Responsible for internal distribution for incoming and outgoing engineering correspondences.

Maintain and manage customer folders and other engineering doc. files.

Primary support for scanning of documents into document retention program.

•High school diploma (GED), plus two years of related experience in a clerical position; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable work knowledge and abilities have been acquired.
•MS Office proficiency, including basic office equipment (printer, scanner, copier, etc.)
•Knowledge of modern office procedures and etiquette. Working knowledge of English usage, grammar, punctuation, and formatting business documents. Ability to exercise good judgement and initiative within scope of responsibilities.
•Moderately complex typing and word processing skills. Ability to follow instructions.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen

•Experience with Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Quality documents
•Experience with Aerospace/Marine products
•Experience with data entry, and/or ERP/MRP systems
