Reports: HR Team Leader

Position Purpose:  To provide a full range of Human Resources support services for ~550 employees at the Jenks Mill. 

Scope: Specific duties include providing support in all Human Resource disciplines such as recruitment, employee relations and investigation processes, compensation, benefits, policy interpretation, documentation requirements, position classification, employee evaluations and HRIS systems.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:

  • The educational requirements can be met with a bachelor degree and/or four (4) years of relevant human resources work experience in a 24/7 continuous operational environment. 

  • Additionally, the Associate should have a strong command of payroll systems, spreadsheet design / formulas, and presentation design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll input and reporting in SAP system. Approve time as needed, make requests for special check requests and update employee information as needed.

  • Manage recruitment efforts including job postings, online application screening and interview scheduling.

  • Manage onboarding process for new hires, processing I-9 verifications, assisting with benefits enrollment and ensure all required paperwork is complete.

  • Develop and maintain confidential employee files, documents, pay scale details and evaluations.

  • Coordinate annual salary plan for hourly associates.

  • Administer annual open benefits enrollment process. Schedule benefits information sessions and communicate changes and deadlines to all employees.

  • Manage attendance and assist with FMLA issues

  • Assist with hourly selection process

  • Assist with the preparation of various corporate and government reports to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and policies, i.e., Affirmative Action Plan, EEO reports, Manpower reports, VET 100.

  • Process pay changes, job changes and all other personnel changes in Workday HRIS system

  • Responsible for coordinating the Human Resources Record Retention Plan which includes ensuring that inventory lists are updated and serving as a resource for Human Resource records retention questions.

  • Assist Team Leaders with policy interpretation, documentation requirements, investigation processes, and general HR information and communications.

  • Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates, and others who have a need to know.

  • Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong MS Office skills; ability to learn new systems

  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented.

  • Must be able to handle complex and sensitive matters with the strictest confidence.

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to be involved or lead when necessary concerning task force groups, charity events, employee events or other special occasions.
