Job Description:

We are looking for 234/47D Crew Chief to join our team!! You will be responsible for supervising our field crew in maintaining a large helicopter, its component parts and the ground support equipment needed for the job.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Crew Chief is responsible for the overall maintenance of the aircraft to ensure airworthy condition.



  • Supervises the maintenance crew who perform repairs and inspections of aircraft and support equipment, including scheduling and conducting major component changes, test flights, coordinating crew, equipment movement, and logistics for aircraft operation from site to site.

  • Performs maintenance activities on aircraft and support equipment.

  • Ensures that all logbooks and forms recordings of work performed are accurate and are maintained to FAA and company standards.

  • Provides on the job training to maintenance crew.

  • Schedules work shifts and duty time for maintenance crews.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Performs work safely and utilizes the appropriate technical data for the assigned task.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Supervisor or management experience preferred with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train and coach employees

  • A&P certificate required.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a BV 234 / CH47D Assistant Crew Chief.

  • Extensive knowledge of BV 234 / CH47D rotor and drive systems, engines systems, rotor smoothing, hydraulic systems, flight control systems, trouble shootings skills, component changes, etc.

  • Extensive knowledge of the BV234 Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), Part 135 Maintenance Programs, applicable FAA Airworthiness Directives, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present ideas, concepts, and proposals to internal and external audiences of all levels.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to access all portions of aircraft for maintenance and inspection purposes.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.
