The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, El Paso Office, is seeking a self-motivated, versatile Senior Facilities Technician with an emphasis in "mission critical" electrical experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial building equipment and machinery. Responsibilities also include the operation and maintenance of the facility work environment, water, emergency and power equipment and systems; insures optimal functioning and integrity of complex Electrical, Chill/Condenser, Building Controls, HVACR, and Fire/Life Safety equipment and systems (to include 24x7 UPS/EPS used primarily for computer rooms); installs, operates, inspects, repairs, modifies and maintains equipment and systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
§ Operates, monitors and maintains utilities including HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) setup, maintenance and balancing, WFI (water for injection), purified water and process equipment.
§ Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer`s specifications and safety policies.
§ Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
§ Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
§ Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes
§ Utilizes mechanical and electronic testing equipment and/or systems to isolate problems; may operate hand and power tools to complete specific repair jobs
§ Communicates with customers to obtain service request forms to document service, labor, and parts details; obtains purchase order requisitions from customers to acquire parts from outside vendors; monitors the maintenance of computer-based files for equipment repair and maintenance
§ Develops and documents improvements, procedures, completed work and vendor communication to monitor and ensure efficiency, environmental levels and service quality
§ Confers with manufacturers and authorized representatives in obtaining technical assistance and in ordering parts; contacts manufacturers or authorized representatives to obtain technical service documentation and schematics; communicates with vendors to order replacement and spare parts for equipment
§ Operate, maintain, and trouble shoot building automation and control devices, controllers on two systems JCI Metasys and the Automated Logic System; experience with either system is desirable but general automation and control experience will be acceptable; general pneumatic experience would be greatly helpful to the right candidate
§ General experience and knowledge of water treatment systems is preferable, including routine knowledge of testing procedures to perform chemical analysis on chilled, boiler and condenser water systems.
