Summary / DescriptionWe are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in Springfield, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. The candidate will have experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of key tasks on a large high visibility IT programThe Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for reviewing, administering and implementing Configuration management processes and procedures, assessing Configuration management needs, developing and implementing plans to guide the IT organization to a mature Configuration process. Ensures solutions and infrastructure Configuration s are introduced in a controlled, yet efficient, manner. Conducts research on IT Configuration Management process improvement. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining internal Configuration management policies, procedures and associated training plans. Training Configuration requestors and approvers on existing Configuration policies and procedures. Assisting with the definition and documentation of new or adapted Configuration processes and procedures. Executing periodic testing of Configuration processes to ensure compliance.Responsibilities Include: 1. Serve as the primary point of contact for OIT customers.2. Communicate Service Level Agreements with OIT customers.3. Assist OIT teams with meeting facilitation, QA, POC tracking and any other activities needed to ensure satisfaction with the quality and delivery of infrastructure needs.5. Communicate Service Catalog features to OIT customers.6. Receive, analyze, and verify requested services meeting customer requirements as part of Service Delivery Management.7. Administer and report results of Customer Surveys.8. Facilitate the coordination of remediation activities for vulnerabilities identified in third-party security scans, to include managing the collaboration site in SharePoint.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree and 1 -3 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- ICAgile Certified Professional- Experience with Process Improvement Methodology including defining and documenting workflow - Experience with ConfigurationManagement tool and workflow creation.- Knowledge of version control and configuration tools.- Knowledge of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies and disciplines.- Proven ability to work closely with the business community as well as technical resources in a tactful manner- Knowledgeable about relevant Change Management Tools such as Footprints, Remedy or ServiceNow.
