St. David's South Austin Medical Center is an acute care facility with 316 beds, offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties, including a nationally accredited oncology program with the area s only adult bone marrow transplant program; a trauma program that includes all of the capabilities and programmatic elements of a Level II trauma center to treat the most severely injured and critical patients; a comprehensive cardiac program; full-service maternity and newborn care with Level I and II nurseries; and two full-service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.
The Pharmacy Technician II provides technical expertise, knowledge and ownership in assisting in the total quality management of the distributive functions of the pharmacy in compliance with department policies and state and federal regulations and under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required: Registration in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or pharmacist-intern participating in a board-approved internship program; ACPE-approved certification in sterile product preparation
Required: At least 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Technician at South Austin Medical Center or 1 year Hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital with at least 200 beds; Experience in sterile product preparation, computer order entry, review of physician orders and direct interaction with nursing staff.
High School Diploma/GED
