Job Description:

The Marketing Coordinator proactively develops, coordinates, and supports marketing projects to achieve measurable results that further the strategic goals of the Purdue School of Science. This position is responsible for creating and managing marketing plans to successful completion. This position will also be responsible for improving marketing coordination of efforts across recruitment, development, alumni and student engagement initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator also provides administrative support for the marketing/communications office. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced environment, has experience designing for a variety of media, is a strong writer, meets strict deadlines, is highly organized and is experienced in project management.



REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in journalism, visual communications, graphic design, marketing or communications. Relevant internships will be considered.

Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, lnDesign), photography and videography. Attention to detail and accuracy. Possess a sound understanding of social media.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in science field. Experience in a higher education setting. Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation systems. Demonstrate competency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and an understanding of brand consistency.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The person in this position may need to travel around campus and might spend time indoors and outdoors. Extended periods of remaining in a stationary position may be required. Repetitive motions, such as those required to use a computer may be necessary.
