Inspect, test, maintain, repair and modify the mechanical systems and rotating mechanical equipment within the Rochester hydro facilities. Ensure work performed is safe, efficient and in support of defined business goals.
Major Roles & Responsibilities
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, repair and, as-assigned, modify mechanical systems and rotating mechanical equipment within the hydro facilities. Perform work in compliance with company policies, procedures and practices as well as regulatory requirements.
Respond to hydro emergency and problem situations on an as-needed seven days per week, 24-hour basis.
Perform other duties as assigned such as but not limited to hydro operations, support other skilled workers, building maintenance, operate motor vehicles and specialized and heavy equipment, maintain stores and inventory, maintain equipment histories, mark-up drawings and documents, supervise contract workers and train other workers on-the job.
Develop and maintain skills and knowledge required to perform all assigned duties and responsibilities through formal, computer-based and on-the-job training.
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Mechanical maintenance, testing and troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of tagout - lockout rules
Basic computer skills
Proactive and results oriented
Formal training in mechanical maintenance (especially piping system maintenance)
Experience with generation plant mechanical maintenance
