Responsibilities

The P&L Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Finance. The P&L Analyst is responsible for providing assistance in the preparation of financial statements and the budget process. The P&L Analyst is also responsible for supporting the annual goals and objectives of the Finance department.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while maintaining the integrity of the financial records for Estes Forwarding Worldwide.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of company and department monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
  • Support in documentation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures throughout the organization, with an emphasis on accounting and finance.
  • Provides prompt customer service regarding requests for information, documentation, and problems.
  • Coordinates with Finance department on special projects.
  • Interface with other EFW personnel as required.
  • Responsible for adhering to and actively participating in EFW's standard Performance Management process.
  • Support and promote company core values.
  • Must comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, Code of Conduct, C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Regular attendance is required.


Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related field plus 1-3 years of related finance and/or accounting experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel

Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Strong attention to detail and oral/written communication skills.

Ability to work independently or in a team setting, in a fast paced environment.

Responds well to questions.

Ability to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated effective problem solving, quantitative analysis, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills preferred.

Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.
