Ensuring online experiences are available to all, easier to use, and more intuitive by improving UCSF s digital presence is what this job is all about. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of UCSF website creators that will offer a suite of services including strategy, development and design.

As a Junior Web Developer, you will:
Build websites from our installation package via scripts
Improve build scripts were applicable
Deploy and test patches and upgrades
Script site migrations
Build webpages via HTML and CSS
Collaborate with developers across the UC system to develop new shared software
Work with other UC IT partners to develop excellent digital experiences for UCSF Patients, Faculty, Students and Staff.

You work under supervision of a Senior Web developer and apply professional software to small projects or portions of projects. You resolve programming problems and work on issues and projects of limited scope.

Required Qualifications: Bacheloru0027s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
One or more years of programming experience
One or more years of using version control software
Knowledge relating to the design development, modification and implementation of software including object-oriented programming concepts
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of Linux system administration
Familiarity of working with Drupal
Experience in create test plans and scripts
