Solve a range of meter engineering and application problems.
Perform detailed engineering analysis, designs and calculations following standard methodology and principles.
Provide technical support for standards, installations and troubleshooting for field revenue metering.
Support the activities of the Meter Test Center and Meter Engineering.
Assist in all aspects of Substation Metering Projects.
Develop and Specify metering equipment selection for projects/assignments. Maintain a working knowledge of metering codes and standards.
Review internal and external customer metering requests. Prepare drawings, construction and material orders and cost estimates for incorporation into final plans with assistance from others as needed.
Provide technical metering support to field personnel and contractors. Assist field technicians in resolving issues with metering.
Update Station metering prints to reflect metering changes. Assist Data Services in resolving ISO metering data issues as they occur.
Schedule and coordinate with other departments to update or install metering.
Perform Storm Assignments.

Available Job Grades Depending on Qualifications/Expereince
Engineer I - AS/ASET with 2 years' related experience or BSEE/BSET with no related experience.
Engineer II - 2 years' direct experience.
Engineer Meter - 5 years' direct experience.
Education (minimum qualifications for assignment to this job):
or ASEE/ASET with 2 years of related experience.
Note: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college/university;
or Requires an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college/university with two years' of related experience working in the electrical power industry (e.g. Distribution, Transmission, Electrician, etc.)
